Why Chestnut ?

The popular chestnut is the common one, almost entirely used in medicine and cosmetology.

The chestnut tree is a mighty tree widely known for its beautiful flowers or shapely smooth fruits, which symbolize the coming autumn.
Horse chestnut, a natural wonder, has much more to offer. Almost every part of this plant, from its bark to its unripe fruits, white flowers, and seeds, contains valuable substances. These natural compounds are the source of many health benefits.

The compounds contained in horse chestnut seed extract have wide-ranging properties:

  • inhibit the development of inflammation,
  • have anti-exudative and astringent properties
  • seal the walls of blood vessels and restore their elasticity,
  • inhibit the formation of swelling and facilitate its relief,
  • reduce pain
  • have anticoagulant properties,
  • increase proper blood supply to tissues.

Horse chestnuts are used for varicose veins. The horse chestnut extract, which is rich in aescin, soothes inflammation that damages blood vessels, and strengthens the walls of veins, preventing them from stretching and forming varicose veins. This extract is an essential ingredient of anti-varicose medications and is incorporated into gels and ointments for varicose veins.

Horse chestnut strengthens blood vessels, making it an essential ingredient in cosmetic lines intended for vascular skin, which is characterized by visible blood vessels, redness, and sensitivity.
Horse chestnut extract is a powerhouse in skincare. It is used in creams, balms, and masks that naturally inhibit the formation of spider veins. It is also a key ingredient in creams designed to improve the firmness of mature and sagging skin, demonstrating its effectiveness in enhancing skin health.
Horse chestnut has an anticoagulant effect - its ingredients reduce blood viscosity, expand it, and facilitate flow. They also influence the delay of clotting processes, resulting in improved blood flow and preventing clots inside blood vessels.

Horse chestnuts are used for oedema; substances from horse chestnuts seal blood vessels and strengthen their walls, and they also prevent blood plasma from leaking out of the vessels into the surrounding tissues. Horse chestnut gel soothes the feeling of the so-called 'heavy legs', a condition characterized by aching, tired, and swollen legs. They are recommended for people predisposed to the formation of swelling, e.g., those who spend a long time sitting or working, standing up and travelling by plane.

Horse chestnut extract is also used for hematomas, tendinitis and frostbite. The substances contained in horse chestnuts have anti-inflammatory, astringent, blood flow-improving, and antibacterial properties. They treat skin damage such as bruises, frostbite and minor burns. It is also used to relieve the symptoms of tendonitis.

Chestnut cosmetics are also used for the so-called "orange peel", i.e., with cellulite. Horse chestnut extract improves microcirculation and seals vessels. Massage with cosmetics based on horse chestnut extract facilitates the removal of toxins from the subcutaneous tissue.
As you can see, horse chestnut extract dramatically impacts our health. That's why we wholeheartedly recommend horse chestnut gel.

We will also soon have horse chestnut tincture on sale, which is a concentrated liquid form of horse chestnut extract. This tincture is the essence of its beneficial effect on our health, and it can be used internally or externally, depending on the desired effect.
